Reading Intervention Teaching Assistant | Mrs Barry

"Together we will...create opportunities to be creative in our environment."

Bio

I’m passionate about fostering a love of reading and helping children become confident, independent readers. I am Every Child a Reader trained and can deliver a variety of reading interventions to meet the unique needs of each child I work with. Whether it’s supporting early literacy, providing targeted interventions, or building fluency and comprehension, I’m dedicated to creating personalised learning experiences that empower students to succeed.

My approach is centred on patience, encouragement, and understanding, ensuring each child feels valued, capable, and motivated to reach their full potential. With my broad skill set and enthusiasm for teaching, I’m committed to transforming every child’s reading journey, helping them gain the confidence and skills they need for academic success and beyond.

I have had the privilege of working with many children with diverse learning needs, including those with SEND, EAL, and reading challenges such as dyslexia. Through tailored interventions and a flexible, patient approach, I’ve seen first hand how every child, regardless of their background or challenges, can make significant progress when provided with the right support. I am deeply committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where all children feel empowered to overcome obstacles and develop their own love of reading.
