Uniform

At Ford Primary School, instilling a sense of identity and belonging is important to us.

We are proud to be part of the 'Ford family' and our uniform plays a key role in uniting us as one entity.

We respect ourselves and our possessions.

We know that how we present ourselves, as a first impression, plays an essential role in feeling safe and being ready to learn.

The information below shares the expectations for uniform at the school:

  • Burgundy sweatshirt, cardigan, tank top (branded or unbranded).
  • Pinafores, trousers, shorts and skirts need to be charcoal/dark grey.
  • Black school shoes (not including boots, open-toe sandals or high heels) need to be worn to school and in rare circumstances all black trainers.
  • Grey or black tights and/or white, grey or black socks to be worn.
  • Jewellery, including bracelets and necklaces, is not to be worn to school and earrings must be studs rather than hoops.
  • Hair extensions and coloured hair, that is not a natural colour, is not appropriate during term time.
  • No nail varnish or make-up is to be worn.
  • For PE, your child needs to wear a white polo shirt or Ford branded white sports top and black shorts/leggings/tracksuit bottoms. On the days that your child has PE, we ask that they wear their PE kit to school for the entire day.
