Prepping for Ford Facade and Community Art

Before we could start our community Ford Facade project, we needed to create a new space for community art to take place. We found a space. One that had been used previously as a store cupboard. We added heating, lighting (and had a big sort out). The outcome had maximum impact on our capacity to work alongside community members and create a calm space for pupils and their parents to make new designs. Ford founded their new Art Sanctuary. Following the Ford Facade Art Project, they renamed the space, 'The Lewry Lab' in honour of artist Sue Lewry (art for anyone, anywhere) who worked alongside staff and families to create their very own Ford Facade art piece.
