"Together we will...create inclusive learning experiences that inspire a desire for life-long learning"
Bio
With a dedicated career spanning 27 years in education, I have had the privilege of shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning. In 2008, my journey began at Ford Primary School, where I have spent the majority of my time leading the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Unit. My passion for early childhood education has been a driving force in my career, allowing me to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for our youngest learners.
Before joining Ford Primary School, I taught in Hertfordshire, gaining valuable experience and insights that have enriched my teaching practice. My relocation to Devon marked the beginning of a new chapter, one that has been filled with growth, challenges, and countless rewarding moments.
I am now proud to be the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO), a new role where I work tirelessly and passionately to ensure that all children, regardless of their individual needs, receive the support and resources they require to thrive. My commitment to inclusive education is at the heart of everything I do, and I strive to create an environment where every child feels valued and empowered.
I am an avid musician, proficient in playing both the flute and the piano. I believe in the power of music to enhance learning and development, and I enjoy incorporating musical elements into my teaching whenever possible. Whether through songs, rhythms, or musical activities, I find that music can engage students in unique and meaningful ways, making their educational experience even more enriching.
Throughout my career, I have been guided by a deep belief in the potential of every child. My approach to teaching is rooted in empathy, patience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. I am continually inspired by the resilience and curiosity of the children, and I am honoured to be a part of their educational journey.
