Higher Level Teaching Assistant | Mrs Easton

"Together we will... Foster kindness, inspire curiosity and develop confidence."

Bio

I began my journey as a Teaching Assistant in Plymouth and have proudly been part of Ford for 24 years as an HLTA. I truly love Ford—the children, the community, and the shared commitment to learning. Over the years, I have continually adapted my role to meet the evolving needs of children and changes in the education system.

I support all children in the classroom, including those with SEND, particularly focusing on reading and phonics. I also assist in teaching all areas of the curriculum. I am passionate about helping every child reach their full potential and value every aspect of implementing the curriculum, always striving to create an inclusive and encouraging environment where all learners can thrive.

Why Ford?

When you start working at Ford, you know that you are joining a caring and supportive team that challenges you to be your best and puts the needs of the children first.

What am I reading?

I love to read love and fantasy stories as well as crime and thrillers (depending on the mood I am in). I like to lay out in the sun and lose myself in a book.

What am I researching?

As part of my ongoing professional development, I am continually digging deeper into the teaching of phonics and also always looking at ways to encourage children's love of reading.
