Bio

I have been a Teaching Assistant in Plymouth for the past nine years and have spent the last five years as part of the team at Ford Primary School. I have predominantly worked within Key Stage 2, supporting pupils across a range of subjects. Before working in education, I had a background in accounting, which has strengthened my confidence and enthusiasm for teaching maths and supporting children in developing their understanding of number and problem-solving.

As part of my role, I also deliver Read Write Inc. across the school, which has given me the opportunity to get to know many children in different year groups. I particularly enjoy building relationships, seeing pupils grow in confidence, and celebrating their progress over time.

What am I reading?

I love to read books of any genre. I am currently reading The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.

What am I researching?

As part of my ongoing professional development I am digging deeper into the science curriculum to gain more knowledge and understanding.
