Bio

Since qualifying as a teacher in 2015, I have taught in Sandhurst, Cornwall and now Plymouth, where I joined Ford Primary School in 2021. Since joining Ford, I have been in Year 1 and have enjoyed the challenge of supporting and educating children as they move from EYFS into KS1. As well as being the Year 1 teacher at Ford, I also lead Art and DT across the school. When training to be a teacher, I did an art specialism and Art and DT have both been passions of mine throughout my career.

I believe in making learning both fun and meaningful by incorporating a variety of teaching methods to cater to each child’s individual needs. I’m also committed to supporting the emotional and social development of my students, helping them build confidence, resilience, and strong relationships with their peers. With a focus on creating an inclusive and positive classroom culture, I aim to make every child feel heard, understood, and empowered to succeed both in school and in life.
