Bio

I am committed to driving standards at Mayflower and Ford by providing the highest possible quality of service for our community. I am an experienced Chair of Governors. Prior to being elected to lead as Chair at Mayflower, and co-opted to Ford, I have worked as a Local Governor Improvement Champion (supporting other schools to set up and lead effectively), Chair of a local Secondary Grammar School, and also a local Special School.

As an ex-teacher, I am also well-equipped to advise, challenge and support on everything from high level strategy to the more day to day operational teacher type tasks. I am rooted in Mayflower and work tirelessly to ensure it remains, where appropriate, a focal point for all community ventures. My passion is music. I work in the community as co-founder for North Prospect Community Choir as well as Blokes Who Sing. Music at Mayflower and Ford is a fundamental part of these groups and how they stay focused on the learning of pupils and their families. It is a privilege to be part of Mayflower and Ford which is such a vibrant, inspirational and special place to learn.
