I have worked in education in one form or another for most of my adult life. After teaching for 20 years, in a nearby Plymouth school, I changed my pathway and began working in School Governance. I am a governor myself at another school within the Learning Academy Trust.

My experience in the classroom and my involvement as governor enables me to support the Governors at Ford to complete their roles successfully. My main role is to aid communication, ensure documents are shared within the given times and help manage the team so that they are able to fulfil their roles and responsibilities.

Having lived local to Ford Primary whilst my own children were growing up, I appreciate the challenges but also the many positives of living in this area of Plymouth.

Out of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, walking my dog Poppy, camping and gardening when the weather is warm! Also, making the most of Plymouth’s closeness to the sea and spending time at local beaches, in both the summer and winter.
